Installation:
- Unzip the lenkyex.zip file
- Upload the the lenkyex folder (not just the files in it!) in your wp-contents/plugins folder. If you’re using FTP, use ‘binary’ mode.
- Activate the plugin ( Lenky Related links Plugin ) through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- make sure to make the folder /cache in the plugin folder /lenkyex writable, chmod it to 777

you are right, on localhost wp version was 2.3.1, but i have updated in 2.3.3 and there is this error

This is because you installed it on a local server where there is no url, btw the new version should work on the local servers as it requires (includes) the feed parser file using path not a url

on the server i have just installed it without any problem, but is a half of hour that the plugin is trying to get the related stuff
on localhost there is the same error, but now is in the sidebar
it should work now properly, as we have some problems with our server, but it is fixed now
When I activate this plugin, only the blog header and title of the first entry load.

I’ve installed this on local host and it says “We are getting the related stuff for this post, just wait a moment”.
Any clue as to what’s happening?
Mohsin, it takes a while till we get the related links for a post and show it @ your blog, and this pic informing you that we [lenky] are getting the related stuff for this post.

At first this plugin did not work for me, the links never showed up. The problem, however, was not the plugin but my server. The server uses a firewall that blocks all outgoing links/addresses called by php to prevent rogue/hacking programs from using the server. Lenky uses a php call to his server to get the links. I white listed the domain and now Lenky works (almost) fine in WP 2.3.3
While the plugin now works I am getting errors in my log file..
PHP Warning: hxxp://www.couchmouse.net/xxx/xxx/plugins/lenkyex/cache/aa70b35819fbb0a15347f34f70ecdbc1.spc is not writeable
It seems the files Lenky creates in the cache folder are not being chmod to 777 and simplepie.inc is trying to write to them.
Any fix to this Lenky?
This error not supposed to show up if you chmoded the /cache folder in the /lenkyex folder to 777
make sure that /cache folder is writable , if it is writable and giving this error, this is a path error and you should contact me using the feedback form.

Like I said, great plugin. One thing you should say is that it is not compatible with WP 2.2.x and below as far as I can tell. In fact, I’m going to update a number of my blogs…

No, as the links shown are related to the content of the page, besides it will increase your PR as your blog will get more links.
P.S: If a page contains many links, then this page may be marked to search engines as “links spam page” but this is not supposed to happen with your blog when you install lenky plugin as it shows 5 links as a max for each post, and if you have many links in your blog home page you can set lenky plugin to show only lenky results in posts.
Sounds like a great way to build links. I will have to download this plugin. It seems that as soon as I think I have found all the plugins that I can’t live without, a new one pops up.
