It is like a new web2.0 tool for webmasters, TwitThis is an easy way for people to send Twitter messages about your blog post or website. When visitors to your website click on the TwitThis button or link, it takes the URL of the webpage and creates a shorter URL using TinyURL. Then visitors can send this shortened URL and a description of the web page to all of their friends on Twitter.
It is really a good tool to tell your readers about something you read deserves to be shared with others.

Three days ago i wrote about Being positive benefits for webmasters , and i started being positive to apply what i wrote on myself to get some traffic for this blog, and the results are great , it is 3 days only and i got 11 favs on Technorati , and about 12 members on MyBlogLog community, 12 Neighborhoods in BlogCatalog , my blog rank in BlogCatalog is raised from 40.5 of 100 to 52.5 of 100, and most of my blog traffic is from being positive.
It is not hard to be positive, i just favorited every blog i liked on Technorati and it is easier if you used the “Favorite This” button to your browser and as a result i got 11 fans on Technorati, 4 of them are webmasters of websites i favorited on Technorati and the rest are real fans of lenky’s blog.
If i found an interesting blog through Mybloglog or BlogCatalog i join its Community/Neighborhood and as a result i got about 12 more members in both sites.
Not all members joined my Community/Neighborhood i joined theirs, and that is what i meant if you become positive you will get positive users that will act positively towards your website.
Just start and you will see.

Most of webmasters these days are concerned about SEO and how to increase their websites accessibility, some of them using white hat seo, and others using black hat seo.
but, why they are doing this?
search engines get you users that really want you, as they searched for something and your website comes up in the search results, so search engines are the best marketing solution to your website.
But how to increase my website accessibility, and make my website more search engine friendly?
i’ll not talk about how exactly, i’ll talk how to think as many of seo tools or ways are injuring your website rank.
To know how to make your website search engines’ friendly , you have to think like a searh engine, search engines are robots that were made by humans, so you may take this as an advantage, you are smarter than search engines as they are machines.
I know that it is not that simple, but to be good in seo, think what if i were a search engine?
what factors will make my website better than other websites competing me in the same field?
there are many factors you can think of, and there are many factors are known and are successful.
think how to convince search engines that your website is good?
you have to think logically before making any SEO things to your websites, is this thing will make make me better?, search engines tries to be like Humans to know how important is this website ?
Search engines are doing some checks and computations to rank every website, so you have to think like them, and the following are things that i think that make your website better for search engines :
- Content, if you have good, well organized, unique content you will get some users linking to your website in others websites, and will give you an advantage over other websites that will copy your content, as if i were a search engine i would check date of posting this info, and compare duplicates to check which one is the original one.
- If i were a search engine i would check how old is your website, the old is your website the more your website is leading other websites talking about the same thing as your website does. ( you can see my post about that here )
- If i were a search engine i’ll check for how many years you registered your domain, the more years you register the more you intend to keep this website.
- If i were a search engine i’ll check your web host to see if it is a good host or not, if it is a free one, so you are not so serious about your website and don’t want to keep it for a long time.
- As a search engine i’ll check your website source code and verify it, like the way you verify it using W3C validation service , the less errors you have in your source code the more professional you are.
- As a search engine i’ll check what websites are you linking to through your website, websites you are linking to measure what you are reading , and show your resources, so if i were a search engine i would measure how good are your resources?
- As a search engine i’ll check if your website contains pop ups or pop under layers, if it contains many pop ups or pop under layers, then this website is not user friendly.
- If i were a search engine , i’ll check how many ad blocks are in each page in this website, if they are more than 3 ad blocks in a page , then this page is designed for getting money only and not for giving info for its viewers.
- I would check how many links this website has in other related websites.
you can think of many things, it is not a must that all these checks are made by search engines, but of course if you considered these factors in your website, you will get higher in search engines results.

As a webmaster you should behave positively towards the web as you are one of this system, and the web is made for information exchange.
But how to be more positive?
I made a small poll in my college and found that most internet users are lazy to do anything rather than getting what they want or what they are searching for, most of users are lazy to return the favor for people who helped them to get that info, at least you can say “Thanks” to say i was here and i am thankful to you for providing me this.
I think that this is because we are HUMANS, we are concerned only about what we want not what others want, but as a HUMAN also there are some ways to say THANKS , and get some benefits.
Many websites have “digg this”, “save this to del.icio.us”, ” Save this blog to your Technorati favorites”, …. etc.
If you think that something on a page was helpful for you, then share it because may be someone else searching for it and can’t find it.
Sharing what you are interested in with other people is similar to saying “Thanks” and it will also return some benefits for you.
As a webmaster , for example if you saved a blog in your favorites in Technorati , the blog owner will get notified that someone added this blog to his/her favs, and this give an opportunity for you to get some traffic as some of them (includes me) want to know who saved their blogs as favs, and he may return the favor for you and save your blog too.
Another thing that you must Give to Get, if you find something good share it with others, or others will not share your work , this is named Karma, if you did something good you will find something good too.
You will make the web a better place too if you shared what you are concerned in with others as the web will become as a community not only some information (Web 2.0 : the web is social and not only for geeks)
This is also good for SEO, as you will get some links to your website through this services, or when you get listed under a popular website in one of that services.
Another way to be positive is providing a link back to a web page that contains really something you liked, if you are a blogger and found a really good post in another blog , you can blog about this topic and return a link back to that topic.
By putting a link back to a post in another blog in your blog, you will get a link back to your post to in the ping back links in that blog, this is good for search engines and good for getting some traffic too.
There are many ways to be positive as a webmasters, you can choose any way from them
some other ways to be positive and get some benefits for your websites:
- Commenting in others blogs but don’t spam, as when you comment in other blogs you can supply your website/blog link, and then you will get some traffic and more links to your website.
- Comment on popular photos in flickr and blog it if it is good , and supply a link for that post in your comment to that pic : example : nice picture, i blogged it on http://myblog.com/post-link/
- If you are a member in one of the blog sphere community services like mybloglog.com or blogcatalog.com , try to surf others blogs , comment, add friends, add blogs to your Communities/Neighborhoods , this give you opportunities of getting traffic.
- If you find a nice blog, or a blog that contains important info for you add it to your favs in Technorati
- If you find a good post digg it , or save it to del.icio.us
Of course there are many many ways, but this is enough for now

Link-based analysis is an extremely useful way of measuring a site’s value, and has greatly improved the quality of web search. Both the quantity and, more importantly, the quality of links count towards this rating.
Now when you say “paid links,” what exactly do you mean by that? Do you view all paid links as potential violations of Google’s quality guidelines?
A: Good question. As someone working on quality and relevance at Google, my bottom-line concern is clean and relevant search results on Google. As such, I care about paid links that flow PageRank and attempt to game Google’s rankings. I’m not worried about links that are paid but don’t affect search engines. So when I say “paid links” it’s pretty safe to add in your head “paid links that flow PageRank and attempt to game Google’s rankings.”Q: Can you give me an example of the sort of things you’d be interested in hearing about?
A: Sure. Here are some paid text links on a site dedicated to Linux:

There are a few interesting things about these links. If you take off your webmaster hat and put on a user hat for a minute, you quickly start asking yourself questions like “Why is a Linux site linking to a bunch of poker, pills, and gambling sites?” Users often consider links like this spammy or low-quality. I’m sure some people will happily defend links like these, but in my experience people who search on Google don’t want links like these to affect Google’s search results.
There are a couple other interesting things about these links. First, you can’t tell it from the image, but the “Sponsored Links” text in the example above is actually an image, not text. The rest of that site is very text-heavy, so the choice to make the “Sponsored Links” be an image is potentially trying to avoid detection of these links as paid. I can’t be sure that’s the reason, of course — maybe they just wanted that phrase to be pretty. The second interesting thing about these links is that our current approach to paid links worked quite well in this case. Our existing algorithms had already discounted these links without any people involved. However, our manual spamfighters had detected these links as well.

Not all paid links violate Search engines guidelines. Buying and selling links is a normal part of the economy of the web when done for advertising purposes, and not for manipulation of search results. Links purchased for advertising should be away from search engines eyes. This can be done in several ways, such as:
- Adding a rel=”nofollow” attribute to the <a> tag
- Redirecting the links to an intermediate page that is blocked from search engines with a robots.txt file
- Links are in Javascript, as most of search engines don’t see JS code n your page
You can also help Google to know about Paid links that violates their TOS, you can use this form to report a website that buying or selling links that pass page rank
